Irish Coffee Recipe

The Irish had the right idea when they combined robust Irish whiskey with hot, black coffee. This hot cocktail is a great winter-warmer but also nice anytime of the year!

Ingredients

2 tablespoons good freshly ground  Knockrow Ridge Coffee

1/4 cup whisky

2-4 teaspoons sugar

Thickened cream

Method

Step 1

Place 2 tablespoons good freshly ground coffee in a coffee plunger and pour over 1 1/2 cups boiling water. Stir well. Set aside for 5 minutes. Plunge the coffee.

Step 2

Pour 1/4 cup whisky into two serving glasses. Pour over the coffee and then stir in 2-4 teaspoons sugar, to taste.

Step 3

Carefully pour thickened cream over the back of a spoon into the coffee.

Serve the coffee immediately.
